Tenacious. Enduring. Resilient. Encouraging. Courageous.

These are just a few words to describe Jen McQuay, also known as JenJen, the heartfelt worship artist and co-writer of the newly-released album project, Never Alone. She has always loved to sing to God and released her freshman album, Unreserved, in 2006. Her newest project, however, came from a unique place as the title track was birthed in Jen during a period when she was blind – fully without sight – for no discernable medical reason. During this 37-day journey in 2015, God sang Never Alone over her until one morning she miraculously awoke, her sight restored. Jen’s unshakable faith and passion renewed, she worked to pen this sophomore album, sharing with the world the peace of God she received and the power of her faith on which she relied during this dark time.

Jen believes that you don’t have to wait until you have victory to know that God is there; He is ever-present and loves us – even amid our doubts and fears. Because she has continually witnessed God’s love so faithfully, she is - and has been - passionate about spreading His love to people at home and abroad. JenJen’s hastag is #missionsgirl, and she has served fervently as a missionary in numerous countries, including Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Greece, the Philippines, Cambodia, and India. Jen loves experiencing other cultures, finding commonalities among all people; even more, she is driven by serving as the hands and feet of Jesus.

JenJen hails from South Suburban Chicagoland and serves at Christian Life Center in Tinley Park, IL, both as Missions Pastor and as a member of the Life Worship team.

It is her prayer that Never Alone would encourage someone to know, “We don’t have to have it all together…we can have hope in the middle of whatever we are going through.”
